OOTD-OOTN: Draped in White

It was definitely a long weekend for me, so many ups and downs. In true SP fashion, I had to end it with a bang. What better way than to get cute and dance. Yesterday, I went to a retirement party. Nothing but good vibes and family! For the event (as well as summer), I had a special dress made! This dress just brightened up my day!
All white maxi!!! Yesssssss!! I have been searching for a white maxi dress for months now and I haven't even been close to finding it. Eventually I realized I think I'm going to have to get it made. One day, I'm on twitter having one of my random outburst about getting a dress made and a good friend of mines Allegra, who has her own line, said "Let me see." She saw, gave me a price. I was ready! So yes this is a from Kre8ivly Twysted cutsom (Check out her lovely works).
I put the dress with nude shoes? Why? Well I knew the dress was already long so my vision was to have the POP factor on the outside of the dress instead of under. I love my shoes. They were so comfy! My shortness did play a part and of course the dress did fall to the floor. Not a problem!

On the left is the original idea of the dress. I thought this would be perfect because It can be formal as well as casual. That's right up my alley. Dual purpose is everything (LOL). I figured instead of the green, I'm coming with white. I wanted all the focus on the draping at the bottom while my top part seemed more subtle as well as the back. Oh here's my favorite part...
POCKETS! I have a confession, I'm a little obsessed with skirts and dresses with pockets. When she showed me the pockets within all the draping, I almost cried! It was so perfect, visionary even.

All in all, I love my new dress. Thank you so much Allegra! I could move, dance, twirl, skip and everything in this dress. Simple but it is EVERYTHING to me. The dream definitely worked. I couldn't have had better night.

OOTD: Same stuff

Living in LA you have to expect the unexpected as far as weather. This past week we had a us a good ol' heat wave and I was not prepared.

As you can see by my face, I wasn't excited. I found these pants at my local Target store. Though I am short, I cant help but love wide leg/palazzo pants. Very spring and summer. Definitely on trend. Extremely versatile and not to mention comfortable. These were such a great buy, the print just added more to the look and they were mines.

The shirt is from American Apparel. It was a clearance sale and I had already seen the shirt before. I found it so hilarious because duh, I have a blog (LOL). This is time for the fun shirts with creative sayings and amazing pictures. Let's all indulge, yeah?

Til next post.
